Yes. Historical log rows are mapped to work-order history against each asset, so you keep the record instead of starting from zero.
Yes. Upload the sheet and AssetOS reads your column headers and the data underneath them, then proposes how each one maps to an AssetOS field — “Asset Tag” to asset ID, “Last Service” to last completed date, and so on. You review the proposed mapping, change anything it got wrong, and confirm before a single record is created. Nothing imports on its own. Most people use this for a straightforward register; the done-for-you migration exists for messier sheets with history, photos and multiple tabs.
