Yes. Upload the sheet and AI-assisted column mapping reads your column headers and the data underneath them, then proposes how each one maps to an AssetOS field — “Asset Tag” to asset ID, “Last Service” to last completed date, and so on. You review the proposed mapping, change anything it got wrong, and confirm before a single record is created. Nothing imports on its own. Most people use this for a straightforward register; the done-for-you migration exists for messier sheets with history, photos and multiple tabs.
No, and we would not build it that way. The AI proposes a column mapping; you approve it. It reads your headers and sample rows, suggests which AssetOS field each column belongs to, and shows you the lot before anything is written. Every proposal is editable and nothing imports until you say so. An asset register is a record you will be audited against — a machine should suggest, and a person should decide.
